Edited by: Ethan Blacknova on 15/06/2011 02:02:59 Edited by: Ethan Blacknova on 15/06/2011 02:01:35 Doing a quick snoop, it seems that whatever this 'Eurorings' is (Assuming it's a DNS server) is on a DNS Blacklist.
http://www.robtex.com/dns/eurorings.net.html
EDIT: Via the link above, it seems that Eurorings has been blacklisted, due to spam.
It seems that Eurorings.net would be a Vector for the Lulz spammers.
This makes sense as they are based in France/French nationals.

Quoting myself to draw attention.
With a touch of investigation, I think that one of the main routes for people to connect to Tranquility has been blacklisted; Ergo: We cannot connect.
Try refreshing/flushing your DNS to resolve.

Investigation indicates one of the following outcomes is to blame:
1] CCP are denying connections via Eutorings. Statistically, the LulzSec attack, centred in france, was likely to exploit the Eurorings network as Eurorings is a massive provider of Net Routing/Fibreoptic connectivity/DNS Host Servers. Because of this, blocking incoming activity from it's main source seems like a good temporary patch, but kicks us off.
2] Eurorings are denying connections to CCP. Statistically, the LulzSec attack, centred in france, was likely to exploit the Eurorings network as Eurorings is a massive provider of Net Routing/Fibreoptic connectivity/DNS Host Servers. Eurorings, seeing this, decided to blacklist connections via it's service that end at CCP.
3] Both of the Above.
There's only two things we can do. Proxy our way in, Or wait.

Quote/Edit: Note that Eurorings is a massive network, the largest in europe, and stretches from France to the Slavics.

It's quite possib;e that your connection is still routed to CCP via the EuroRings network. If Eurorings touches CCP, your connection may be routed through it. Thus, trouble.

Bit of a bummer Virgin Media uses eurorings lol. Probably the cheaper route to use.
Sky also uses Eurorings. Sucks.

It's currently impossibe to connect to Tranqulity if your connection route is via the Eurorings.net network due to the connection being blocked.
This is Either the doing of CCP or more likely Eurorings due to the masses of traffic and disruption caused. (Blacklisted connections to CCP because of spam).
CCP Will be able to resolve this, just give them time.

Now being that I'm not a 1337 ***** at the interwebs, can't the people that did this be traced back via thier ISP address and prosecuted? I want these skript kiddies hung by thier earlobes.
buncha idiots
It gets hard when they do it by hijacking the computers of innocent users and the computerilliterate, and turn them into zombie attack machines just waiting for the command from Lulzsec to jump on something. That and multiple proxies make things hard to track.
Someone will get them though.

Originally by: SilKKZ the3rd Whats fantastic is between us we have deduced the problem before an announcement was made. Thats not a good show on CCP front.
Remember that marketting and all kinds of buisnessman crap gets in the way. It's not their fault, it's just how a company has to operate; cautiously.
Originally by: kari bourza Is there a way to avoid eurorings ?
Only if you're VERY good at routing proxy connections.

Everyone else: CALM THE FEDO DOWN.
It'll be back soon. It's NOT the end of EVE. It's NOT a problem with the computer. It's NOT a problem with CCP. It IS a problem with internet policies and a european netowrk distributor. WAIT and it WILL BE FIXED.

Looks like we have the culprit well and truly identified.
